Although Las Vegas is known for its gambling and nightlife, it is also a superb place to de-stress and unwind, as the city offers plenty of high-quality spas where visitors can treat themselves to a number of excellent therapeutic treatments.

Having travelled to Las Vegas several times in the last decade, I’ve come to the conclusion that gambling and even just being in this city due tot he heat is tiring and draining.

An alternative? I enjoy recharging my batteries in one of the city’s various spas, but Las Vegas has so many how do you decide where to go?

1. Bathhouse Spa

Bathhouse at THEhotel spa is one of the top spas in Nevada, with steam rooms, whirlpools, saunas, cold plunge pools and specialty treatment areas it is sure to reinvigorate you from the longest day trip.

This spa feels like it is light years away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos and Strip, as it’s situated on a high floor in the Mandalay Bay.

The cool, slate stone walls and grey-green color scheme will calm guests right away and as their cares will melt away as soon as they breathe in the fragrant air of the eucalyptus steam room. There are 12 different treatment rooms here, which include a hot plunge pool and a sauna.

The BATHHOUSE Spa offers services for both men and women including massages, body treatments, pedicures, facials, manicures and even custom baths.

One of the most popular service is the massage, while the most popular service for men is the deep tissue massage. Included in your visit are the Robes, sandals, T-shirts, and shorts needed.

A great treatment is the detoxifying massage, which will cleanse the body of any built-up toxins and is sure to cure any residual hangovers from the previous night.

There are several other treatments available that undoubtedly will leave you hungry and thankfully fruit, nuts, coffee, tea and bottled water are provided to sate those cravings.

The facilities even include Fitness areas with separate men’s and women’s locker rooms. Vanity and shower areas are included in the locker rooms.

2. The Spa at Encore

Visitors will be blown away by the Spa at Encore’s extravagant décor, elegant treatment rooms and arched ceilings.

The Spa at Encore provides a clean and cool environment inspired by Asia and Morocco influence in its overall design. The spa also has valet parking and accepts men. Lockers, robes, and slippers are provided as well as professional draping services. Refreshments are available and a juice bar located in the fitness area.

Far from offering only style, this spa has a wide variety of treatments which combine modern techniques with ancient healing rituals. One such treatment is the “Good Luck Ritual” which brings in the elements of aromatherapy and feng shui combined an exfoliating full body scrub that is sure to take your mind off of any recently accrued gambling debt.

Other areas included are the sauna, steam room, wet spas and relaxation areas. The wet spas offer hot and cold plunge pools in a tropical themed area. They also offer private waterfall showers for rinsing off after your dip and heated lounge chairs perfect for a short catnap after those hours rolling the dice.

3. The Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace

Have you ever wondered what visiting a Roman bath house must have been like during the Roman Empire? Wonder no longer.

The facilities and offerings at The Qua Baths and Spa, at the famed Caesars Palace, are reminiscent of ancient Rome. However, this palatial spa, besides its historical décor, also has pretty great amenities like an arctic ice room, herbal steam room and cedar wood sauna.

This incredibly enormous spa has a total of 51 different treatment rooms, where highly trained spa artisans perform their magic. Every type of healing treatment imaginable is available, as the spa offers everything from chakra balancing to hypnotherapy to ayurvedic treatment.

4. Sahra Spa and Hammam at The Cosmopolitan

Sahra Spa and Hammam at The Cosmopolitan offers a wholly unique view and feel. Built out of 420 tons of sandstone this 50,000-square-foot facility is a marvel to enter and be treated in. The spa offers valet parking and services for men. 

The men’s and women’s lounges are separate but also fully loaded with steam room, sauna, vitality pool with desert rain shower, cold mist room and a wet lounge with meditation loungers. Included are robes, lockers, refreshments, toiletries and other vanity products. In what is referred to as the Space Between is a towering, trickling waterfall as well as a ‘bridge lounge’ where couples can come and relax together in the cowed space between services. 

The Sahra remains one of my favourite locations to unwind; it represents the finer side of Las Vegas holidays. I enjoyed coming here where we eat at the luxurious buffet and walked around the beautiful gardens of the complex.

5. Spa Bellagio at The Bellagio

The Bellagio is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world and Spa Bellagio is in a word Zen in their merging of elements and materials, which make up the treatment rooms. This spa offers a full service salon and valet parking. Towels, lockers, shorts, T-shirts, robes, sandals and vanity amenities are provided. 

Refreshments, including Mineral water, fruit juices, and coffee/tea are provided. Additional features the spa guests will find are Whirlpools, sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and fitness facility and relaxation room. 

Over all the most popular service is the Deep Coconut Surrender Massage, while among the men the most popular service is the Athlete’s Revival Massage.

6. Canyon Ranch Spa Club

• Address: 3355 S Las Vegas Blvd #1159, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States

This enormous spa is located within the famous Venetian Hotel, a Las Vegas landmark, and has everything that one could possibly wish for in a high-end spa, with a fitness center, climbing wall, sauna and whirlpool.

There is even a full-service salon offering hair, makeup and nail services. Seriously, there are so many treatments offered at the Canyon Ranch Spa that someone could spend an entire week at the spa and still not experience everything! What a week that would be!

Canyon Ranch Spa Club is unique in that it is also a wellness center offering additional services not normally found in a spa like: physical therapy, acupuncture and a nutritionist.

One of the signature treatments to try here is the Canyon Ranch Mango Sugar Glo, which is a full-body exfoliating treatment that uses jojoba oil, natural sugar and beta carotene to give your skin an amazing glow.

The full service salon included in the spa offers hair services including extensions, nails makeup and facial waxing. The most popular service offered is the Canyon Ranch massage while the men prefer the 80-minute deep tissue massage. 

Amenities available in the spa are: Whirlpool, steam room, sauna, relaxation lounge and fitness facilities (fee applies).

Canyon Ranch offers valet parking and also services for men. Towels, robes, lockers, sandals, toiletries, showers are provided as most top spas do. Refreshments offered are: mineral water, fruit, and coffee/tea.
